“Heaven’s Tackle Box”

If there are fishing lures in Heaven, you can be certain that my brother-in-law, Curtis, will be reeling in a big one. Then, he will make sure everyone is fed, and rest assured that he will be inviting all of his loved ones to sit down for a feast. There will be joy and laughter, and no more will he suffer, no more will he suffer.

After the feast, he will find his way to God’s Carpenter Shop which sits right under a golden archway, and he will walk there. He will join in with the Carpenter Angels and make the most beautiful benches and chairs made of pearl. He will make many things and visit with his loved ones, he will meet new friends, and give God a hand shake and a big hug. And of course, now and then, he will pull out the biggest fishing lure of them all out of “Heaven’s Tackle Box”.

Rest in Peace, Curtis, Rest in Peace. I will miss you, and just wanted say a special thank you for the very beautiful jewelry box you made me for my birthday many years ago, and thank you, too, for all the “tackle box” memories forever etched in my heart.

Love, Lorine
