Harvey Ree Richards born on April 25, 1924 went to be with his Lord on August 7, 2012. Mr. Richards was born to Jack and Beanna Richards in Garrison, Texas. Harvey was married to his loving wife Dorothy Rene Richards. He was preceded in death by both his parents daughter, Shelia Perry sister in laws, Linda Vance and Doris Flournoy. Harvey is survived by his wife, Dorothy sons, Milton Perry wife Ethel and Calvin Perry daughters, Gladys Punch husband Johnnie and Evilene Walton husband Quentin sister in law, Ivory Shotwell brother in laws, Herman Vance Jr., Lucas Brown and Donald Vance God daughter, Vickie Jessie God grandsons, Cory OBryant Jr. Braylin Darden numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He was employed for 12 years at the Corrigan Mill. Mr. Richards served as chairman of the deacon board at New Beulah Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas for 21 years. He had a total of 36 years as a deacon. He served as an usher, and was in the male chorus and in the mens organization. Been in this community since 1958 and was loved all around Polk County.
Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Vance, Herman Vance Jr., Lucas Brown Sr., James Shotwell, Mr. James and Church Deacons.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Punch, Johnnie Punch Jr., Steven Flournoy, Gerald Flournoy, Herbert Jessie and Don Taylor.
A visitation will be held from 6pm till 9pm August 10, 2012 at New Beulah Baptist Church in New Willard, Texas. Celebration of Harveys Life will begin at 11am August 11, 2012 at New Beulah Baptist Church with The Reverend Harold Gause officiating.
