Newman “Red” Edwin Scott Jr., was born on August 7, 1945 to Clara and Newman Scott Sr. in Conroe, Texas. He went to be with his Lord on August 14, 2015 at his home in Livingston, Texas surrounded by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Scott and his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Ann Scott; sons, Sammy Lyons, Danny Lyons and Kenneth Scott; daughters, Glinda Hickman, Linda Reeh, Victoria Pryor and Diane Scott; sisters, Diane Kendrick, Patsy Patterson and Imogene Scott; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by both his parents; sisters, Ruby Scott and Ruth Scott; brothers, Jimmy Scott and Ed Scott. Red worked for Brown & Root as a superintendent most of his career. He loved to farm and do his hay fields with his family. Red never met a stranger, and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Red will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at Pace Funeral Home 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A Celebration of Newman's Life will be held at Pace Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating. Pall Bearers will be Jimmy Dean Roberts Jr., Kolby Hart, Sammy Lyons, Donald Pryor, Ryan Boyd, Victoria Pryor, Warren Patterson, Daniel Dobson and Jay Scott.
