PAUL F. RICHARDS Paul Frank Richards died peacefully at home on October 28, 2015 at the age of 72. A celebration of Paul’s life will begin at 2:00 P.M. at Pace Funeral Home, on Saturday, October 31, 2015 with Pastor Don Goodwin officiating along with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8568 with visitation afterwards until 5:00 P.M. Mr. Richards was born September 5, 1943 in Hemphill, Texas to parents Chester and Ludie (Flournoy) Richards. The family later moved to Jasper, Texas where he attended school. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Verlene Smith, Beatrice McElwee, Mary Katherine (Kat) Hopkins, Betty Maxey and brother C. R. Richards. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Ann; his son, Tony Richards and wife Sharon of Hankamer; his daughter Jaime and husband Jimmy Grigsby of Baytown; former wife Vicki H. Richards of Baytown; three stepsons, John Free and wife Tamara of Moss Bluff; Scott Free and wife Cara of Livingston; Philip Free and wife Annette of Leggett; four grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren; brother Eugene Richards and wife Della of Jasper, Texas; sister Dorothy Fowler of Hope, Arkansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews . Mr. Richards joined the Army in December of 1966 and was stationed in Korea as a lineman. He was passionate about horses and enjoyed training and showing them at the Baytown Rodeo Arena. He also enjoyed working cattle with his fellow cowboys. He was a very talented artist and his children will cherish his drawings, which are proudly framed and displayed in their homes. He was also well known for his dancing. Mr. Richards worked at Warren Petroleum for Kieke Welding Services for twenty seven- years as a heavy equipment operator. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and sitting on the porch. Mr. Richards was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
