A celebration of life for Harris Alden “Harry” Ulsrud of Rye, Texas will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Pace Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Judy Forsman officiating.
Harris Alden “Harry” Ulsrud, born on March 30, 1919 to Harris and Julia Bird Ulsrud in Superior Wisconsin went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the age of 96. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Ulsrud and sister Jane Ulsrud Bennett, his loving wife Myrtis Ulsrud and son Kevin Ulsrud.
Left behind to cherish the wonderful memory of Harry are his daughter Nora Ulsrud Thorp and husband John, his brother Glen Ulsrud and sisters Lorna Nelson, Carol Vaughen and Virginia Talafous, two grandchildren, Ginger Gaus and Ryan Batts and five great-grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an avid sports fan who won the 1972 Championship of the Texas State Professional Horse Shoes competition.
