Marisa “Rocky” Clifton Cloessner passed away on July 8th, 2016 in Spurger, Texas, at the age of 55. Marisa is survived by her mother, La Vonne Peeks Bell, and her father, Edwin Earl Clifton; her husband of 25 years, James Cloessner; her two children, Katie Cloessner and Jake Cloessner. She is also survived by her siblings, Chrisy Clifton, Shirley & husband, Timmy Bush, Brett & wife, Nicole Bell, and Clif & wife, Misty Clifton. She had many nieces and nephews including Teia & husband, Chad, Ashton & wife, Tiffany, Clint & wife, Tiffany, Garrett, Joey, Shelton, and Jackson. She also had two great nephews, Chad and Caison Holley. She is preceded in death by her beloved Grandfather, Rufus Peeks, Grandmother, Ola Peeks. Also proceeded in death by her Aunt Shirley Peeks, and Uncle Doyle Peeks. Marisa was born on July 16, 1960 in Channelview, Texas. She grew up in East Texas and graduated from Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas in 1978. She married her husband, James Cloessner on November 23, 1991 and became the mother of two wonderful children on October 24, 1995. She had a great passion for Cosmetology and she worked alongside her best friend, Sherri Haynes, in Spurger, Texas. Marisa enjoyed fishing, hunting, and she had a love for cooking and baking. They say, ‘You haven’t lived if you’ve never tasted Marisa’s cooking!’ Marisa never met a stranger. She could, and would, strike up a conversation with anyone she met, and her laughter and smile were so contagious that it was bound to make anyone enjoy her company. Marisa enjoyed learning anything new and her thirst for knowledge was endless. The most important thing to Marisa was her family, and she was a devoted wife and mother. She spent all of her years spreading her love to her family and friends around her, and being an example of strength, passion, and generosity. A visitation will be held at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. There will be a funeral service held at Pace Funeral Home Friday, July 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m with Brother Steve Waldrep officiating.
