Kaite Shafer, born to John and Francis Hirtel Rembisz in Sterling, Michigan, went to be with her Lord, on October 14, 2016, in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of 87 years.
Katie’s loving family includes; husband, Robert Shafer, daughters, Penny Churchman & husband, Albert, Donna Slot & husband, Jimmy; three grandchildren, Jason Slot & wife, Christi, Michelle Cope & husband, Ron, Michael Churchman & wife, Angie; four great grandchildren, Jennifer Slot, Michael Tamez, Megan Tamez, Matthew Tamez and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, three brothers, and great grandson, Cody Slot.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. A Graveside Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at White Chapel Cemetery in Highlands, Texas with Pastor David Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations accepted at the Joseph House 5783 Farm-To-Market 841, Lufkin, Texas.
