Grady Truett Brown, born March 24, 1936 to Myrle Marie (Howell) and James Lester Brown in Wewoka, OK. Went to be with his Lord November 21, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the age of 81. His loving family includes wife, Carolyn Brown of 40 years; sons, James Brown and Jack Gregory III; daughter, Dawna Brown Jarvis & husband Robert: five grandchildren, Ian Jarvis, Devin Jarvis, Ciara Jarvis, Zachary Brown, and Ryan Brown; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dr. Max L. Brown and Jimmie Ray Brown.

Grady was a veteran of the United States Army having been stationed in Japan. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and worked with prison ministry as a volunteer Chaplin in Texas and Utah. He spent many years in the Insurance Industry receiving both CPCU and CLU designations.
Grady was a fun loving and very caring person most of all he was a man of faith. He was adventurous and enjoyed traveling especially cruising in the later years

Visitations will begin Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00PM, with a Celebration of Grady’s life beginning at 1:30PM at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Stovall officiating. Interment to follow to Holland Cemetery in Village Mills with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8568.
