Curtis Lee Anderson Sr.
Curtis Lee Anderson Sr. 68, from Livingston, Texas passed away on Thursday May 10, 2012 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Curtis resided in Texas City for over 55 years and moved to Livingston in 1999 after retiring from Union Carbide. Curtis was preceded in death by his brother Wallace Anderson of Livingston, Mother Louise Anderson and father, Wallace Anderson of Texas City. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Pat Anderson, son Curtis Anderson Jr. and wife Rhonda of Friendswood, daughter Athena Petty and husband Chris of Texas City, Denise Anderson Hart, grandchildren Brandon and wife Kristina Anderson, Heath Anderson, Taylor Petty and greatgrandson Tanner Anderson, all of Texas City. He also had numerous other family members friends. Curtis was a graduate of Texas City High School. He worked at Disbrows Printing for a few years before going to work at Union Carbide and retired after 32 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish, hunt and go camping. He had numerous hobbies such as photography, black powder guns and woodworking. He was known by many in the neighborhood as Mr. Fix it. After retiring and moving to Livingston he became a friend to many in the small neighborhood of Rileys Landing. You could always count on Curtis to be in his shop enjoying his woodworking and there to lend a hand when needed. Curtis loved his family very much. He will be sadly missed by all. A celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held honoring Curtis on Saturday May 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Pace Funeral Home located at 200 FM 350 North Rd., Livingston, Texas 77351. located on US 190 just west of Us 59 As you know Curtis was a simple man so casual dress is appropriate.
