Graduated from Jeff Davis HS 1940, Served in WWII 1940-1945, Graduated U of H 1950, Worked in insurance business 43 years, Coached Voss West LL and Rams FB, Retired to Lake Livingston 1987. Preceded in death by his daughter: Jesslyn, grandson: Jimmy, parents: August and Donnie Clarke, and Brother: Clarence. Survived by wife of 61 years, Jean McCarly Shepherd, son: Ron Shepherd and wife Debra, daughter: Janie Snyder and husband David, Grandchildren: Jenny & Kelli Shepherd, Brett & Blake Barkley and Shelby Snyder; Great-grandchilren :Addison & Luke Barkley, Kaylie Early and Aubrie Shepherd Visitation at Pace Funeral Home, June 5,2012, from 5-7pm Service at Pace funeral Home 10am June 6,2012.
