William Harrison Box was born on April 28, 1924 to Tom E. Box and Bertha Hollis in Lexington, Texas. The Lord called him home on September 9, 2012. He is survived by daughter, Pat Morgan sons, Michael Box and wife Denise, David Box and wife Cynthia daughter, Debra Box and partner Denise grandchildren Billy Morgan and wife Kim, Allen Box, Katherine Redden and husband Michael, Daniel Box and William Box. Greatgrandchildren Jacob and Hannah Morgan, Riley Anne Redden. Brother, R.G. Box and wife Frances sister, Maxine Glover. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife Evelyn of 66 years.
Bill was a veteran in the United States Navy having served in World War II, also was in the Navy Reserves, member of the VFW Post 2427 in Tomball, Texas. He was devoted member and a Laye Chaplin of Lake Livingston Lutheran Church.
A Celebration of his life will begin on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Lake Livingston Lutheran Church with Reverend Sharon Kapsch officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Morgan, Daniel Box, William Box, Michael Redden, Freddie Baker, and Neal Dickens. Private interment will follow at the Houston National Cemetery.
