Arlene Bookman Hughes was born on April 23, 1950 to Tommy and Georgia Lee Bookman. Arlene went to be with her Lord on December 12, 2012 at the age of 62. She is survived by sons, Byron Keith Hughes Sr. wife Dessie, Romad Bookman wife Michelle daughter, Brigitta Hughes Seven grandchildren brother, Tommy Bookman wife Tyler sisters, Essie Harrell husband Odis, Erma Roberts husband Levell, Carrie Carter husband Russell and Bea Bell sisters and brother in laws, Edward wife Janice, Luby wife Brenda, Bobby wife Elmer, Earnest wife Joan, James wife Annette, Eddie Mae Husband Kirby, and Willie Jean numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Arlene is preceded in death by both of her parents loving husband, Tommy Hughes brother, Ray Bookman sister, Ella Mae Bogany.
Visitation will be held on December 22, 2012 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Goodrich, Texas beginning at 10:00 AM with a Celebration of Arlenes Life starting at 11:00 AM.
