Arthur Mitchell Gibson, born in Houston, Texas on September 10, 1937 passed away on February 19, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Gibson was in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He attended the Houston Police Academy graduating in 1961. Accepting a position with the Houston Police Department, he rose to the rank of Deputy Chief before leaving to assume the position of Chief of Police in Richmond, Texas, a position he retired from after 3 years.
Arthur received a Masters Degree in Science from Sam Houston State. He loved fishing on Lake Livingston with family and friends. He will be missed by his wife, Olimpia and other family members.
