After residing 20 years in Zachary, LA, Douglas returned to his beloved state of Texas to enjoy the tranquility at Lake Livingston in Onalaska. He marveled in the beauty of nature and loved to watch the many birds, squirrels, and deer as he sat on the back porch drinking his coffee. Douglas accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1978 and lived his life sharing and giving to others. His warm smile, sparkling eyes, and positive charm was immeasurable and everyone that knew him, knew that he loved them.
