On August 30th Kathryn Lynn Sayer went to be with the Lord. She was a kind, wonderful soul who touched many lives during her lifetime. She was born in Elgin, Illinois on September 3rd of 1948 to Lawrence Earl Barnes and Shirley Jean Cameron. She was an avid quilter, belonging to numerous quilt guilds and associations, and a mother to her furry peeks. Kathy was retired from Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center where she was Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and was the Recording Secretary for the Board of Trustees. She was currently working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Martin her father, Lawrence Barnes and stepbrother, Larry A. She leaves behind a son James Sayer, her stepmother Paula Barnes of Jackson, New Jersey, brother Douglas Barnes and wife Lorna of Curlew, Washington, brother Kevin Barnes and wife Debra of Westminster, Colorado, stepbrother Timothy and wife Pamela of Long Valley, New Jersey, sister Michelle White of San Antonio, Texas, stepsister Carolyn and husband Tony Roselli of Jackson, New Jersey, uncle James Barnes and wife Candice of Fort Wayne, Indiana, many cousins, her nieces and nephews, many dear friends and coworkers. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church off Hwy 190 in Livingston, Texas with Reverend James Frazier officiating.
