Kari Anne Fountain Short Jones born on April 20, 1965 in Trinity, Texas to Earl David Fountain and Dorie Thompson Short, passed away on December 2, 2014 in Huntsville, Texas at the age of 49. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, John Henry Jones and Nolan Cade Jones sisters, Paulette Short, Shana Fountain Spaulding, Lynae Fountain Threet and Daniell Fountain brothers, Hershel Short, John Short, Wayne Short and special loving friend, Eric Poppitt numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends. Kari was preceded in death by both her parents step father, John Warren Short Kari had a lot of things she could be proud of, but to her the greatest achievement was being a mother. Her world revolved around her boys. Karis boys supplied her with oxygen. Their lives were intertwined, she breathed in as they breathed out. While her life was taken too quickly, she did make sure her sons had memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. God knew what he was doing when Kari had to go on disability, while we mourned her being unable to work, God knew, her boys would not be able to wait for her to retire to spend time with them, her time wasnt long in this world. He knew her sons would need memories now. So when we question God, remember He knows our timetable things happen for a reason, and the answer may not be revealed to us at this time. Kari will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Karis family would like to thank each and everyone that has donated toward her services. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Huntsville Church of Christ, 3737 Texas 30 in Huntsville, Texas. A Celebration of Karis life will start at 2:00 P.M. with Matt Springfield officiating. Interment will follow at the Trinity Cedar Grove Cemetery off Hwy 230 in Trinity, Texas.
