Aileen Mae Kettelkamp Bybee, born February 4, 1920 in Smithton, Missouri to Reverend Oscar Kettelkamp and Elsie Bebermeyer Kettelkamp, passed away peacefully in Livingston, Texas on October 8, 2015 at the age of 95.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Jean Rachel Bybee of Onalaska, TX; nephews, Bob Mayo and wife Melba of Livingston, TX, Richard Mayo and wife Betty of Huntsville MO, Kent Mayo and wife Emma of Huntsville, MO; cousin, Adienne Meinzer of FL and numerous other relatives; special friends, John, Linda, Roy, Gladys, Colleen, Jessica, Doreen and Grace; and many other friends near and far.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 66 years Charles “Pat” Bybee; daughter, Elizabeth Bybee; brother, Olin Kettelkamp; her devoted dog “Duke”.
Aileen was a member of First United Methodist Church in Onalaska Texas. She was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, Friends of Acadia, The Wilderness Society and the Sierra Club. Aileen was loved very much by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Aileen’s Life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas 77351 with Reverend Rick Tate officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
