Wanda Joyce Adkins Parker, 69, was born on July 20, 1954 in Austin, TX to parents Winford (Buck) Adkins and Juanell (McNiell) Adkins and passed away March 12, 2024. She was proceeded in death by her parents, and siblings, Mildred (Suzy) Adkins, and Richard Adkins.
Wanda Adkins Parker is survived by her son and daughter in-law, John Jeremy Adkins and Suzanne Adkins; sisters, Terry Adkins, and Heidi Adkins; half-siblings, Wayne Fults and Linda Sears; grandchildren Riley, Dylan, and Winter Adkins; and significantly grandchildren of her heart, James and Jackson Padilla, and Addisyn Farkas; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her pride in life was her family, her country, her work as a dispatcher, and her friends. As a patriot and conservative, Wanda was a dedicated worker in service to her community for many different police departments and ambulance companies for over 25 years. Wanda was a lover of animals and children and was always available to babysit. Wherever she went her beloved dog, Curly, was always somewhere close by. We will greatly miss her wit and steadfast love.
Funeral services for Wanda Adkins Parker will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 3pm at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, TX with nephew in-law, Jeremy Padilla, officiating. Flowers and donations are unnecessary, but your presence as we remember her life is greatly appreciated. Internment at Brookeland Cemetery will follow at a later date for family only. |
