Nellie Elizabeth (Houghton) Magee, born on April 20, 1923 in Quinlan, Oklahoma to John Otto Houghton and Nellie Mae Wylie Houghton passed away on June 10, 2015 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 92. Those left to cherish her memory are sisters, Helen Baird and Norma Rockhold; son in law, Wayne Langford; 3 grandchildren, JerryLangford, Jim Langford, Karen Bouras and husband Walter; 6 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Leo Otto Magee, on June 25, 1982; daughter, Ethelene Langford on June 22, 2010; brother, John Wesley Houghton. Betty worked at the Forum Cafeteria as a Manager and in the food industry for 43 years. She was a member of the Chesswood Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. She enjoyed her yarn crafts and writing poetry. Betty loved her family and friends very much and will be missed deeply. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas with Pastor Col. Howard Daniel Jr.. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Chesswood Baptist Church, 4357 US Hwy 59 South Livingston, Texas 77351, or a charity of your choice.
