Laurine Thielemann Mansur was born September 5, 1924, to Robert and Frieda Thielemann in Brenham, Texas. She passed from this life on April 27, 2023, at the age of 98 years. Laurine was married for 72 years to her “sweetheart”, Herbert Mansur. The couple met in 1934 when his father, Rev I. M. Mansur came to pastor the Lutheran Church in Welcome, Texas. The couple raised four wonderful children and built a beautiful life together. She was a loving and generous soul, Laurine participated in her children’s school PTA, as room mother. She found joy in working for her church, first at Park Place Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas, and then later at First United Methodist Church in Onalaska, Texas. Laurine had a passion for giving back to people and her community; she was involved in a few charity work organizations, working with senior citizens, Meals on Wheels, and The Bridge, working with battered women. She had a love for the outdoors like fishing and working in her yard. Laurine liked to surround herself with family and friends doing things like playing cards, 42, bowling or watching her favorite baseball team, The Houston Astros. Laurine is survived by her children, Sharon Figley & husband Robert, and Douglas Mansur; grandchildren, Steven Figley & Jennifer, Larisa Kutac and Alisha Betcke; and great-grandchildren, Phillip Figley, Nickolas Figley, Nickolas Dalinis, Samantha Dalinis, and Hudson Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loving husband, Herbert Mansur and sons, Ronald Mansur, and Brian Timothy Mansur. A Visitation for Laurine will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday May 3, 2023, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, with a Celebration of Laurine’s life to follow beginning at 2:00pm with Rev. Brian Wharton officiating. Interment is to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, in Onalaska, Texas.
