Pauline Maze

Funeral services for Pauline Maze, 92, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pace Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Denton Maze officiating. Pauline was born on March 20, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Clarence and Adderie (Anderson) Pridgen, and passed away June 29, 2023 in Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Maze, her parents; brothers, Marion Pridgen and Joe Pridgen; and sister, Mildred Thompson Hamilton.
Pauline is survived by her son, Clarence Lee Maze and his partner, Iris McCarty of Bonita Springs, Florida; her grandson, Michael Holaway and his wife, Kathryn of Glenwood, Iowa; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Holaway of Glenwood, Iowa; great grandson, Kristian Holaway of Glenwood, Iowa; sister in law, Eva Maze of Livingston, Texas; sister in law Joyce Murphy (J.E.) of Jasper, Texas; sister in law Avis Cook of Baytown, Texas; sister in law, Carol Pridgen of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Pauline was a strong and devout Christian and for many years was an active member of East Tempe Baptist Church. She served faithfully throughout the years as the church secretary/treasurer, song leader and Sunday school teacher. Pauline was ready to meet her Lord and has traveled home to Heaven. Pauline was a very strong, hardworking and independent woman who worked for many years after losing her husband within the Livingston community.
Pauline was a sweet and loving grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandson Michael and his family.
Visitation and refreshments immediately following the funeral service at Pace Funeral Home Chapel will be held at the East Tempe Baptist Church fellowship hall. |
