William was 81 at the age of his death. He resided in Livingston, Texas. He died on August 27, 2023, at HCA Hospital in Conroe, Texas due to complications from a heart bypass, cancer and chemo.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 13, 1942, to Joe E. and Evelyn Schmidt. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Suzy) Schmidt of 58 glorious years; his son, John C. Schmidt and daughter in-law Andrea Schmidt; one brother, Thomas R. Schmidt, and wife, Gloria Schmidt; one granddaughter, Ashley Burnett, and husband Ferris Burnett; one grandson, John Schmidt Jr, and wife Halye Schmidt; also, one great granddaughter, Addison (Addie) Schmidt, and two great grandsons, Barrett and Colt Schmidt.
Bill had a plant nursery in Huffman, Texas and loved plants and the out of doors, later moved to Livingston, Texas and lived beside his son and daughter in-law, and both grandson and granddaughter.
Bill attended Church at Livingston First Church of the Nazarene in Livingston, Texas and he was a beloved husband, and a servant to all.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 1pm followed by A Celebration of Bill’s Life at 3pm at the Livingston First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Fred Huff officiating.
