Mary Jane Chaplin, AKA Jane O'Brien, of Livingston, Texas passed away July 25, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on August 23, 1950, in Newton, Iowa to Marion and Mary (Bakalar) Benac.
She was employed for 13 years at Memorial Herman Hospital in Woodlands, Texas. Mary was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Livingston, Texas.
Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years David Chaplin; children, Cory O'Brien & wife Deana, Chris O'Brien & wife Marie, Johnathan Chaplin, Claire Jones & husband Tim; sisters, Loretta Tool, Tina Frein & husband Randy; grandchildren, Cameron, Constance, James and Adam; as well and numerous other family members and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Mary (Bakalar) Benac; and sister, Cindy Koopman.
A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Livingston, Texas with Reverend Alex Garber officiating.
Interment will be at Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, Iowa and is under the care of Wallace Funeral Home.
