Patsy Whitworth
March 29, 1934 - January 4, 2025

Patsy Lou Kimball was born to Nimmie Cockrell Kimball and Lucious ("LD") Kimball in Livingston,
Texas on March 29, 1934, when she joined her half- siblings Bronson, Carroll, and Onyda to
complete their Kimball family. Patsy passed away on January 4, 2025, after a long battle with
Alzheimer's disease. Patsy attended the Livingston public schools and Sam Houston State
University.

Patsy married Jerry L. Wood at the First Methodist Church (Livingston) on August 22, 1953, and
the couple soon moved to Cypress, Texas, where Patsy worked as the office manager for the
superintendent of the Cypress school district, and Jerry was employed for many years in the oil
services industry by Milchem, Inc. Patsy and Jerry welcomed their son, Mark, into their lives on
July 10, 1960, and began the busy, joyful years of scouting, sports, sleepovers, dogs, and fishing.
Patsy was always up for any new adventure with her "boys".
Patsy and Jerry retired to a beautiful home in Hemphill on Toledo Bend Lake, where she formed

many new friendships, joined bridge clubs, found new dogs to love, and never missed her three-
mile strolls throughout her wooded lakeside neighborhood. Patsy had a wonderful outgoing

personality, a strong sense of humor, a twinkle in her eye, and was an energetic and enthusiastic
participant in the many groups of which she was a member. She was a natural "joiner". Over the
years, Patsy was always a faithful Christian and an active member and supporter of several
churches in communities where she lived.

Patsy was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jerry, her son, Mark, and her second
husband, Roscoe Whitworth. She was also predeceased, survived, loved, and embraced by
innumerable Cockrell family members all of whom she dearly loved in return.

The family is ever grateful to the compassionate staff and caregivers of Hospice in the Pines who
cared for Patsy in her final days and PineCrest Retirement Community where Patsy lived in
happiness and comfort for the past 10 years. The quality of care she received from these
outstanding institutions has been a blessing to us all.

Patsy, may you rest in the peace of Christ for all eternity.
The family requests that you make a contribution to the charity of your choice in memory of Patsy.
