Burl Shotwell Jr. was born on December 10,1949, to Lula Mae (Gaskey) and William Burl Shotwell, in Livingston, Texas. He passed from this life on February 8, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of 75.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tomy Geane Shotwell; stepchildren, Tina Denton, Melissa Waldrep, Kenneth Waldrep & wife Cheryl; sisters, Shirley Nicholson and Elizabeth Shires & husband James; seven grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; as well as many other loved ones and friends.
Burl is preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.W. Shotwell; and sister, Winnie Saxton.
A Celebration of Burl's Life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas, with Pastor Bobby Conner officiating.
